Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These terms apply to purchases made from the Versatile Idea Oy online shop. Mandatory consumer rights always take precedence over any conflicting provision in these terms.

Shop: Jääkärinkatu 10 A, 00150 Helsinki, Finland

Versatile Idea Oy is entered in the Finnish Trade Register. The seller and contracting party for purchases from this online shop is Versatile Idea Oy.

2. Scope and eligibility

The online shop sells to consumers aged 18 or over and to businesses and organisations. A person ordering on behalf of a business or organisation confirms that they are authorised to do so.

Sections concerning statutory consumer rights apply only when the customer is acting as a consumer. Additional or different terms may be agreed separately for business orders and quotations.

3. Ordering and formation of the contract

Products are ordered by adding them to the basket, entering the requested information, selecting the available delivery and payment methods, accepting these terms and submitting the order through the checkout. Before submitting the order, the customer can review and correct the order details.

Submitting an order entails an obligation to pay. A binding sales contract is formed when Versatile Idea Oy sends an order confirmation to the email address supplied by the customer. The order confirmation lists the ordered products, prices and other essential order information. Please check it promptly and contact us if anything is incorrect.

If an ordered product is unexpectedly unavailable, we will contact the customer without undue delay. Any payment for a product that cannot be supplied will be refunded.

Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.

4. Products, prices and VAT

Product descriptions, materials, dimensions and other essential characteristics are shown on the product page. Because many products are handmade and may contain natural materials, minor variations that do not affect conformity with the contract may occur.

Prices are shown in euros. The applicable VAT and any delivery charges are shown in the basket and checkout before the order is submitted. The final total displayed at checkout applies to the order. We may change prices and delivery charges for future orders.

For consumer distance sales within the EU VAT territory, VAT is charged in accordance with the rules applicable to the delivery destination.

Åland is part of the EU but outside the EU VAT territory. Orders delivered to Åland are shown without mainland Finland VAT. Unless the checkout expressly states otherwise, the recipient is responsible for the tax-border declaration, import VAT and any charges collected by Customs or the carrier. We provide truthful product descriptions and values on all customs documents.

5. Payment

Visma Pay

For orders totalling less than €1,000, the available online payment methods are provided through Visma Pay. The methods actually available to the customer are shown at checkout and may include online banking, payment cards, mobile payment, invoice or instalment services.

Visma Pay is a payment service provided by Visma Payments Oy (Business ID 2486559-4), a payment institution authorised by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority. Visma Payments Oy may appear as the payment recipient on the customer’s account or card statement. The sale remains between the customer and Versatile Idea Oy, which is responsible for the order, products, delivery, returns and refunds.

Any invoice, credit or instalment payment method is also subject to the terms and eligibility decision of the provider selected in the Visma Pay service. Current information and Visma Pay’s contact details are available at vismapay.fi.

Advance bank payment

Orders totalling €1,000 or more are paid in advance by bank transfer. After ordering, the customer receives a pro-forma invoice containing the bank account, payment reference and due date. The payment must be received by the stated due date. An unpaid order may expire and be cancelled automatically after the due date.

Products are reserved and made-to-order work begins only after the full payment has been received. The customer is responsible for any bank charges imposed by their own bank.

6. Delivery destinations, methods and charges

We deliver only to available addresses in EU Member States, including Åland. Delivery may be unavailable to certain remote areas or special territories associated with an EU Member State. The countries, postal codes and services currently available are determined by the delivery options shown at checkout.

Available tracked delivery services, pickup points and prices are calculated according to the products and delivery address and are displayed at checkout before the order is submitted. The customer selects from the services offered. If a selected pickup point becomes unavailable, the carrier may redirect the consignment to another suitable nearby pickup point.

The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address, telephone number and email address. The customer is responsible for additional reasonable costs caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

7. Delivery times and delay

Estimated dispatch or delivery times are stated on the product page, at checkout or in the order confirmation. Delivery estimates supplied by carriers are estimates rather than guaranteed dates unless a particular date has been expressly agreed.

Products in stock are normally dispatched without undue delay after payment. Rings and other products described as made to order may require up to 14 days before dispatch, unless a longer period is clearly stated on the product page. For advance bank payments, the stated production and delivery time begins when payment is received.

If delivery is delayed, we will inform the customer when reasonably possible. The customer retains all statutory remedies for delay. The risk of accidental loss or damage normally passes to a consumer when the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.

8. Consumer right of withdrawal

Subject to the exceptions in section 10, a consumer may withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason within 14 days. For goods, the withdrawal period generally begins when the consumer or a designated third party other than the carrier receives the goods. If goods from one order are delivered separately, the period begins when the last item is received.

The consumer must send a clear withdrawal notice before the 14-day period expires. The notice can be submitted using the online withdrawal function provided on our website, by email to info@versatile.fi, or by using the statutory model withdrawal form. When the online withdrawal function is used, we send confirmation of receipt in a durable form, normally by email.

Simply returning a product or failing to collect a consignment is not, by itself, a valid withdrawal notice. A consumer may also withdraw before the goods have been dispatched.

9. Returning goods and refunds

After giving notice of withdrawal, the consumer must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the notice was given.

Return address:

Versatile Idea Oy
Jokiniementie 46 B 96
00650 Helsinki
Finland

The consumer bears the direct cost of returning goods following an ordinary withdrawal. Please package jewellery and other goods carefully and retain proof of posting. Returns sent cash on delivery or by another method that imposes an unagreed charge on us cannot be accepted.

A consumer may handle and inspect a product to the same extent as would reasonably be possible in a physical shop. The consumer is responsible only for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product. The absence of or damage to original packaging does not automatically remove the right of withdrawal, although the consumer may be responsible for a loss in value where packaging has independent value or is reasonably necessary to protect or store the product.

We refund payments received for withdrawn goods, including the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery method, no later than 14 days after receiving the withdrawal notice. For a partial withdrawal, delivery charges are refunded only to the extent that they would not have been charged for the products retained. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or the consumer supplies reliable evidence that they have been sent back.

Refunds are made using the original payment method unless the consumer expressly agrees otherwise, and no fee is charged for the refund.

10. Products excluded from the right of withdrawal

The statutory withdrawal right does not apply to goods that are manufactured or substantially altered to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised, provided that the exception is disclosed before the order is placed.

Our individually manufactured products include:

  • gold rings made from scratch to the customer’s selected size and specifications;
  • Move On rings in both gold and silver, all of which are made from scratch to the customer’s selected size and specifications; and
  • other products individually manufactured, engraved, named or materially altered to personal specifications where this is clearly stated on the product page before purchase.

Other silver rings remain covered by the statutory withdrawal right, including when an existing silver ring has been resized for the customer.

The absence of a withdrawal right does not affect statutory rights concerning defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods. If a customer needs to request a change to an individually manufactured order, they should contact us immediately; changes or cancellation are possible only if separately agreed.

11. Defects, incorrect goods and transport damage

Versatile Idea Oy is responsible for ensuring that goods conform to the contract and for statutory liability for defects. A manufacturer’s warranty, where one is provided, is additional to and does not restrict these rights.

If a product is defective, incorrect, damaged in transit or missing, please contact us at info@versatile.fi within a reasonable time after discovering the problem. Include the order number and a description of the problem; photographs may help us resolve transport damage promptly. Notifying the carrier of visible package damage is helpful but is not a condition of the customer’s rights against us.

Please contact us before returning a defective or incorrect product so that we can provide suitable instructions. Where a complaint is justified, correction, replacement, return and other necessary reasonable costs are borne by us. The remedies available are determined by mandatory consumer law and may include repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract.

12. Uncollected consignments

Failure to collect a consignment is not a withdrawal notice. If a customer neither submits a withdrawal notice nor collects the consignment, we may claim the actual and reasonable direct outbound and return transport costs and handling costs caused by the failure to collect it. This does not limit the customer’s right to submit a valid withdrawal notice within the applicable period.

13. Business customers

The statutory consumer withdrawal right and other provisions that apply specifically to consumers do not apply to purchases made principally for business or professional purposes. Separate quotation or contract terms take precedence for a business order. Otherwise, these terms apply to business orders insofar as appropriate.

14. Applicable law and dispute resolution

Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any problem amicably.

Consumers in Finland may contact the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority’s Consumer Advisory Services. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation and Consumer Advisory Services, a consumer may refer it to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board for a recommendation. Consumers resident in another EU country may also obtain assistance through the European Consumer Centres Network.

These terms and contracts made under them are governed by Finnish law. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protection provided by the law of the consumer’s country of habitual residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts that have jurisdiction under mandatory law. Business disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Helsinki District Court unless otherwise agreed.

15. Changes to these terms

The version of these terms in force when an order is submitted applies to that order. Changes apply only to future orders unless a change is required by mandatory law or is expressly agreed with the customer.
